Week #11

Online Advertising

I would use the Facebook ad, Page post engagement and page likes.  I will use these two types of ads as a call to action sort of advertising.  I want people to visit my page so I do not want to discourage people from liking my page.  As stated in the text, you want to pull people to try and drive sales instead of push people to buy your products.   I have a small budget and would like to experiment with these types of ads.  When I see that my ads are doing well, I will add more ads and increase my budget.  I also noticed that Pinterest is a good platform to create ads.  The pins already remind me as an advertisement theme anyway.  I will stick with Facebook for now and see what happens.  Then I will branch out to other social media platforms and try to expand the reach of my business.

  1. I think is a good idea to start with one social media website, having to update and post on many sites can be a bit overwhelming unless you link you're accounts. I still think every site is different and you have to dedicate time on each of them.

  2. Hello Matthew,
I think your idea is great. I also use same ad as you because I also don't have enough budget to have expensive ads. I think this ad is good for starting new business with low money. Also it is good to hear you try to expand the reach of your business!

  3. Hi Mathew
I totally agree with your advertisement strategy, I am also using these two for my business, in addition I will greet my fans on their birthdays. You can also do that and wish them a long, healthy life as this is your main objective. It is true that "think buying, not selling, and the sales will come"!

    Best wishes

  4. Hi Mathew,
Like you I plan on the two ad types of Page Post Engagement and Page Likes. With a CTA of some pricing discount. Budget is always a concern so going at a measured pace, checking your metrics and adapting to the results. You may want to check out the "lookalike audience" that Facebook has. Just go to Help and type that in to find.
